Jesus Is Coming Soon!

Hello Pastor, What are the signs that Jesus will be coming soon

       To God time is virtual, meaning existing in essence or effect though not in actual fact or form. Just like the first coming of Christ was announced in the Old testament by a minor prophet like Micah.Time seemed to be elastic to the point that it took only faith for people to trust or believe what was foretold.

       We see for instance births that were foretold over a short period of time like that of Ishmael (Gen.16:11),

that of Isaac (Gen.18:10), that of Samson(Judg.13:3, 24), that of Samuel(1Sam.1:11, 20), that of Shunammite's son (2 Kin.4:16, 17), that of John the Baptist(Luke 1:13),  and even my own birth that was foretold by the doctor and the midwife to my mother (my  parents' report) ( Laughter!!!); or over a longer period, like the birth of Josiah(1 Kin.13:2), of Cyrus (Isaiah 45:1-4) and that of our Lord Christ (Gen.3: 15) (Micah 5: 1- 4). One good news is that all these foretold births came to pass. Knowing these truths in time strengthens our faith and gives us more hope, for that which had been foretold, announced had come to full manifestation through the birth of Yeshua a Meshia.

      Indeed Jesus is coming soon, I may even say very soon, we need to get prepared and not to be looking at our watches or clocks as if a digital time had been given us. To God one day is a million years and a million years is one day. He owns and holds the future. That is good news, to know that there is a second coming of Christ  described as Day of : the Lord (1 Thess. 5: 2), Lord Jesus (1Cor.5: 5), God (2 Pet.3: 12), That day (2 Thess. 1:10), Last day (John 12:48).

     Now, one may ask my humble-self : Minister Salomon, why is Jesus coming again? And when I relay that question to Jesus, listen to what He is telling us through the Bible that gives us a full answer to that question and relates that answer to  various purposes:

- Jesus is coming again very soon to Fulfill His word ( John 14: 3), to Raise the dead (1Thess. 4: 13 - 18), to Destroy death (1 Corin. 15 :25, 26), to Gather the elect (Matth. 24:31), to Judge the world (Matth. 25:32-46), to Glorify believers ( Col. 3:4) and to Reward God's people ( Matth. 16: 27).

    I thank God immensely as He has made the exact period of His second coming Unknown to us (Matth. 24: 27, 36), promising us that it sure is After the proclamation of the Gospel to all (Matth. 24: 14), After the rise of the antichrist ( 2 Thess. 2: 2, 3), At the last trump (1 Cor. 15: 51, 52), In days like Noah's (Matth. 24:37-47).

    But God makes sure that He characterizes the way or manner in which Christ is coming, so that no fake Christ may appear one day  after  9/11 and claim that what is happening is a sign of His coming soon. You all know that the devil is a liar, He likes interfering in God's business with his ugly head, but God "don't" like ugly!

 - Behold Christ is coming again, but this time in turn it will be In the clouds (Matth.24: 30), In flaming fire

( 2 Thess. 1 : 7, 8), With the angels ( Matth. 25: 31), As a thief ( 1 Thess. 5: 2, 3), In His glory ( Matth. 25 : 31).

  

  In conclusion, this is very good news as it helps in shaping the believer's attitude toward life in general. I do personally have applied and made mine this life changing attitude and now am trying to convey the message to those who have known my circumstances and beyond to also try hard to Wait for.... (1 Cor. 1 : 7),  to Look for...  ( Titus 2 : 13), to Be ready for....( Matth. 24 : 42-51), to Love....( 2 Tim. 4:8), to Be busy until...( Luke 19 : 13-18),

 and to always Pray for....(  Rev. 22 : 20 ).

 

   Let's pray :

 

Lord, we love You, we honour You, we worship You and glorify Your holy name.

We know that You are the best in our lives, You are wonderful, You are excellent!

There is no one else like You!

We thank you Lord for Your first coming as You came to show us the way to Your Kingdom.

And we fervently in Your second coming after which You will take us to thy Kingdom.

While we are waiting impatiently, helps us Lord be obedient to thy word and contribute

in spreading thy Gospel. Make us whole and ready to go each time we hear thy voice

and carry presents, gifts and candles before thy altar to celebrate Your birth, for You are

the reason for this season. May Your extended love to mankind be felt by all in these end times

and may Your perfect be manifest in our lives, now and for evermore! Amen!

  

Let thanks and praises be given to God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Let kinship and adoration be ascribed to God in the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ?

Let peace, power, majesty, honour, thanksgiving and glory abide to Jehovah Tsidkenu

 in the name that is above all names, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Only Saviour! Amen .

One thing I am looking forward to is the reunion of those who have gone ahead of us to glory when Jesus returns. It also makes me to wonder what the feeling will be about those who would not be there. That is why I encourage all of us to keep loving Jesus and keep loving our neighbors. I am connitted to keep serving others till Jesus comes. Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!!
